I was honestly super nervous when I joined Sattvika Dance Academy back in the fall of 2025. Starting at a new dance class is always intimidating, but Devika Teacher made me feel comfortable from day one. Her energy is so welcoming and patient, which made it really easy to settle in and just focus on dancing. Since starting here, I’ve grown so much as a dancer and gained a lot more confidence in my Bharatanatyam. Sattvika really feels like such a supportive environment, and I’m so glad I joined!

As a mother, one of my greatest joys is seeing how much my daughters love their dance classes at Sattvika Dance Academy. ❤️ They never want to miss a class! The moment you step inside, you can feel the positivity, warmth, and love that fill the space.
We feel truly blessed to have found Guru Devika Nair, who is so much more than a dance teacher. She nurtures her students with love, understands them as individuals, and helps shape not only their artistic journey but also their character and values.
Watching my children grow under her guidance fills my heart with gratitude. One day in 2020, when I was 7, my mom told me that she knew of a really nice dance teacher who could teach me Bharatanatyam. 7-year-old me jumped up and down with excitement, hoping that I would make friends and do fun performances. My mom was right though, Devika teacher is the best teacher ever (not an exaggeration), we even share the same name! She isn’t just a dance teacher though, she is an amazing mentor and a person I could go to for anything. From laughing over the silliest things with my dance friends and Devika teacher to doing Secret Santa and preparing for performances, every moment at Sattvika is special. She always knows how to ease our nerves before we go on stage and makes us feel confident and supported. Dance at Sattvika has brought me so many opportunities, amazing friends, and unforgettable Friday nights that are a highlight of my week. I’m so grateful that I started dancing here in 2020 and still get to be part of this amazing community today!

My daughter's (Madeleine) love for dance began when she was just one year old, but it was Devika Teacher who truly captured her heart. After trying different classes, she found her connection with Devika Teacher, and since the age of three, she has been learning and growing under her guidance. Now, at nine, she admires her so much that she dreams of becoming a dance teacher like her and even started learning Malayalam to speak like her! 🥹❤️ At performances, people sometimes mistake her for Devika Teacher’s own daughter, which makes me feel their bond is truly special.

As a mother, I deeply admire Devika Teacher’s incredible talent, beautiful choreography, patient teaching methods, and the way she communicates with, encourages, and uplifts children when they struggle. She does more than teach dance—she builds confidence, inspires dreams, and nurtures a genuine love for the art. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful teacher and role model in my Madeleine's life! ❤️🙏🏻
